The June 1 Brandon section of the Tampa Tribune has a nice article listingValrico as one of the top 100 best places for families. The article alsostates that the Tampa Bay area (Tampa, Clearwater and St Petersburg) ranked48th on a list of 403 metropolitan regions in 2004.
